I Can’t Believe It’s February!

Well Tuesday is my first genetics exam, I’ve already had an ecology one that didn’t go as nice as I hoped. Well I have the rest of the semester to fix that one and do well on my other courses. I’ve joined two different Pre-Med groups, one is PPMS (Pre-Professional Medical Society) and the other is Pre-Med AMSA (Pre-Med American Medical Student Association) – glad I found them – not sure how come it took so long – but most likely due to just entering campus last semester and taking 6 classes (19 credits) kept me REALLY busy! I was able to attend a wonderful Pre-Med symposium on campus yesterday as well.

I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is around the corner…

I wrote this poem for it:

VALENTINE © Robin Taylor-Corbridge 2009

Roses are blue,
Violets are red.
I Love You,
Is what will be said.

This day marks a celebration of the heart,
They’ll be plenty of candy bought from Wal-mart.
Even with the economy fairly dull,
I predict it won’t make this holiday null.

People are used to the celebratory way,
They just want to embrace and enjoy this day.
With cards, candy, roses or a just a song,
No matter how you express it, you can’t go wrong.

“I love you my dear”,
Is what you’ll likely hear.
The question you will likely pose,
“Will you be mine?” … That’s how it goes.

Roses usually are red and violets truly are blue,
But we throw them into poems like this anywho.
Here’s hoping this holiday is loaded with fun
Bringing Peace, Love and Joy to Everyone!
