Biology etc…

Well got my score on test 2 of Biology II and got an A on it too – yeah! This Thursday is the first of 2 lab exams – crossing fingers!! In lab on Thursday I had such a coughing fit I had to run out of the room it was ridiculous how I could not stop to catch my breath and my eyes were running. This flu has been a downer for sure, however I have championed right through it to still get all A’s on my class tests and press on forward. I just took Calculus test 2 and got an A on it – SO I’m feeling MUCH better in general with all my schooling – I feel like I am on track for a 4.0 semester – I have to keep the momentum up – it’s getting close to mid term point – finals are going to be killer – oh and I have my ASL project to do – we’re doing a story this term, a child’s story – I have to figure which one I want to do soon and start practicing it!! I love ASL – it’s so enjoyable to be able to enter the Deaf world. Oh sure if you learn a foreign language you can now communicate with others that speak that language – but Deaf people have their own culture almost like their own world and I truly feel blessed to be allowed entry into it. Ok… time to go make dinner…

YES!!!

I received a letter in the mail today that I was granted my experiential credit which accelerated the CGS1100 (Intro to Microcomputers) course – So I can graduate now this spring! I’m guessing my dossier of work that I submitted was enough proof to convince them that I certainly can (and do) operate a personal computer well. I’m SO happy now!!! Isn’t it amazing what little things thrill me these days?! I had my 2nd Biology II exam on Tuesday – no clue yet how I did – but I’m feeling like I got an A on this one too, I’ll know next week. I just received my textbook for American Government course – so I’ll be able to pick up the pace there quite a bit too now. Somehow I injured my wrist over the weekend and it’s just been horrible trying to write notes in class (a must for me) and typing forget – owie! It’s making it awfully difficult to enjoy my brand new computer – I went ahead and got a 24″ Flat Panel Apple iMac – it’s gorgeous to say the least – I plunked Jimmy’s (Siberian Lynx) photo on there and in short – it’s now breathtaking! If it’s possible to fall in love with a material object this computer’s going to be it – it’s definitely got the “wow” affect.

I must be insane!

I decided I didn’t have enough to do with American Sign Language, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology and Calculus – SO I signed up for the American Federal Government course today. I was so blessed that the Professor and FCCJ allowed me to enroll and get into the course. It’s an 8 week accelerated course which truly looks like a lot of fun. It will be interesting with the current political climate of the elections/primaries taking place right now to be in a government course. SO it looks like I will be getting my AA degree sooner than expected – which will be nice, I’m looking forward to it! I am taking 24 credits this semester, not an easy task by any means – I am shy one course – Intro to Microcomputers – however I put in for experiential credit – since I’ve been using a computer and basically all the software/business applications one can imagine to both run a business as well as create a web site for MANY years, anyone that knows me will attest to my computer proficiency – so I pray I am granted the credit so that I may actually graduate SFCC this semester with my son and we take our AA degrees on to university together… stay tuned for the decision and outcome.

Go Giants!

Not that I’m a huge football fan – but being a native New Yorker what can I say – my team won!  ;-)
