2 Down, 2 To Go…

Saturday, June 16th, 2007

Well last week ended Plane Trigonometry as well as Humanities I. I guess it feels good to be over with them in a way, however I do admit I was enjoying them both as I learned SO much from them. I think I have become addicted to learning as I find it quite enjoyable! I am presently in a Philosophy course online (quite stimulating and thought provoking) and I have an American Government course (online) coming up soon. Therefore I have no real “summer off” - almost as soon as the American Government course ends - my fall term begins - there is however a couple of week’s rest in between. It will be interesting to see my final grades for these courses, I worked as hard as I could, but I admit I don’t know where I stand, I hope I stand at (2) A’s - I suppose I’ll find out next week - the final grades are due by the 19th.

Went to my doctor yesterday…

Friday, June 8th, 2007

Went to my doctor yesterday for a brief visit and he saw me studying trig. He asked me if I was in school, I told him yes. Then he asked if I was going into medicine, and of course I replied yes. It must be that obvious that I am a doctor in the waiting, apparently others can see right away what exactly I’d be in school for. On the other hand - opposite end of the spectrum - my fellow used foundry equipment dealers are surprised at my sudden new life direction. Funny how that works isn’t it? Perhaps Dr. A can just sense I am medical doctor material? To be honest, that made me feel good when he said it so matter-of-factly, it made me feel - well accepted - which is a very good feeling! One thing I have noticed about myself is that I am definitely maturing and growing just from the course material I have taken thus far. I am finding the more schoolwork I do the more fulfilled I feel, I must be a glutton for punishment :-)

Done!

I’ve already started my Philosophy course (PHI2010) and I found an online American National Government course (POS1041) I’m in too - starts soon. So all set for the summer - no one can accuse me of being a slacker! :-)

Owie Eyes

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

Well my eyes still aren’t any much better :-( I’m very upset about this and concerned about it now too. It would seem that my eyes have reacted to the Vigamox antibiotic eye drops the doctor prescribed for me and now I have corneal crystal deposition. I have no clue yet how or if this new issue will resolve. Unfortuntely I had put the drops in both eyes - now while it was the right eye that was injured (cut by the ice cube) my left eye was bothering me one night so I used it in there too. Well now I have these crystals and my eyes have been non stop annoying me since this ice cube incident - first it was downright pain - then a bothersome - like something was in my eye and it still feels that way. I sure hope this resolves - I have not been able to wear my contacts now since the 21st of May and I am missing so much from the white board at school - it would have been MUCH better to have been able to have the contacts in :-( I sure hope this isn’t a permanent problem - my eyes were just checked prior to the incident - strange how that works not but a couple of weeks before I had contact lens fitting - so we know my eyes were perfect prior to this all happening. Frustrating for sure… Oh well, back to studying… I now have an online course (well 2 but one has started already - this one is Philosophy) to add to the mix - yummy!

Things don’t always work out

Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

Well I was lucky enough to get into an online Philosophy course for the summer - however the computer one CGS1100 isn’t going to work because on my computer the Microsoft Office for the Mac doesn’t have Access Program and apparently that is needed for the course. SO rather than fight it - I will take that course in school where I can use their windows machines and find perhaps American National Government course to take instead - In fact I already have a lead on one… the chase is on… I swear I should get college credit just for being able to figure this out and find the proper classes to take - this is real work :-)
